welcome to our world
At Knightsbridge School International Montenegro (KSIM) we are passionate about ensuring that our students become happy, confident and successful young people, whilst instilling in them a love of learning and a desire to succeed. Our philosophy and values are built from the success of Knightsbridge School in London, guided by our distinctive ethos and the KSI Code. All KSI students are inspired to keep smiling and keep striving, graduating as global citizens and life-long learners.
We are committed to equipping our students with the knowledge and skills needed to be successful both in education and the wider community while they are with us, and as they make their transition into adulthood. One of the many things we pride ourselves on is knowing all of our students individually which enables us to support and enhance their experiences both academically and in the development of their strong characters. We are dedicated to enabling our students to ‘be all they can be’, and develop as learners with high aspirations, self-confidence and a clear focus for their future.
We promote a strong culture of inclusion and diversity where all members of our community can feel proud of their identity, their individual achievements are celebrated and they are able to fully participate in the life of the school. The school community champions respect for all and challenges discrimination by providing equal opportunities for our pupils. We are committed to offering an inclusive curriculum and bespoke pathways to ensure the most positive progress and outcomes for our students, whatever their needs or abilities; each member of staff has a shared responsibility to remove any potential barriers to learning for all pupils.
We prioritise the wellbeing of our students alongside their academic development and expect our students to learn in a safe, positive and supportive environment with a variety of opportunities for them to develop themselves both in and outside of the classroom. Our students’ wellbeing is of the utmost importance and our curriculum provides rich opportunities for students to reflect and develop strategies to support their mental health, well-being and resilience.
Encompassing our ethos and values is the importance of our students having ownership of their school and being involved in all we do. Student agency is positively promoted with learners from all year groups encouraged to have a voice and to take on areas of responsibility around the school. The student leadership team has opportunities to give feedback to teachers and school leaders about how we can best improve our school.
Relationships between KSIM, our families and community is key to providing the best opportunities and support for our students, and we endeavour to work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure the best provision and support for our students enables them all to be all they can be.
To cultivate the intellect, passion and imagination of our learners so that they are empowered to engage productively and creatively as global citizens who value and respect diversity.
To educate a community of global citizens by providing them with opportunities to be all they can be and inspiring them to make a positive difference in a changing world.
To achieve our vision we have the following aims which guide every aspect of school life.
To create a community that is internationally minded and makes a difference in a changing world
To create and maintain an environment that nurtures community and well-being
To deliver an inquiry-based, 21st century-skills curriculum facilitated by professional staff that inspire learning
To motivate students to achieve outstanding personal growth and learning
To establish and run a reliable operation executed by highly experienced staff supported by smart systems, policies and processes that allow for students to fulfil their potential
