Visiting Montenegrin Parliament
As part of their current Unit of Inquiry (How we organise ourselves), our Year 5 and 6 students enjoyed the wonderful opportunity to discover more about, and experience, how governments work by visiting the Parliament of Montenegro in Podgorica.
They toured the official home of the Montenegrin Government, and gained first-hand experience of the political process in Montenegro and learnt more in relation to their central idea; Government systems influence the lives of citizens. As well as being informed about the history of the Parliament, MP groups and other relevant information related to parliamentary work, our students got the chance to find out how decisions that affect everyone living in the country are made, by taking their seats in the Great Hall!
