Our Year 5 and 6 students presented their individual inquiries about explorers who have fearlessly traveled the globe (and beyond) to discover new lands, people, animal species, riches, knowledge or glory. As part of their latest Unit of Inquiry, the children dressed‐up as the explorer they have been researching and performed monologues that they had written themselves.

It gave our students the chance to carry out their own inquiry that focused on one inspiring and courageous explorer; someone who is thought of as an explorer because they have achieved something or made a contribution to the way we see or think about our world. It also gave them a chance to share their understanding of the key concepts of causation, perspective and reflection, and was also an opportunity for them to showcase their research, thinking and communication skills.

Huge congratulations to our amazing Year 5 and 6 students, and thank you to all members of our community who supported them before and during this wonderful event.
